I graduated from Cedar Valley Community School (Somers, IA) and then went to Iowa State University. After 4 years at ISU I earned a BA with a major in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in Speech. I spent a few months looking for jobs in radio news and was employed selling advertising for a radio station. Then I decided to return to ISU and get a teaching degree. I returned for 2 years and got a degree in English and a minor in Education. My first job was at Rolfe. This is my 33rd year of teaching. I am married to Craig Nesbitt and have two daughters, Melanie and Lynette. During summers I serve as secretary for Evangelical Covenant Church of rural Pomeroy and cook at Twin Lakes Bible Camp. My husband and I are also the custodians of the church. In my spare time you can find me scrapbooking, watching the Twins or The Bachelor(ette) on TV, or playing with my dogs.
